Miami Swim Week 2016

cute little video bonus by my ladies at IRON N SALT - thank you for including me in your Miami Swim Week recap! love you!

I had this trip in mind since last year, when during my trip from Miami to Bahamas, I noticed that a lot of other bloggers and brands were in Miami for what I know now to be Swim Week. I was kind of upset that I was so close but at the same time hadn't planned to be there. (but still cant complain cause I was in freakin bahamas!)
So this year I was so sure I wanted to go, I mean a week of getting to know the new lines of swimwear, it’s becoming such a huge success in Miami that I definitely wanted to be part of it.

So I convinced my dear Sophia (@sophietta) and booked a ticket to Florida!

We were SO lucky to collaborate with 3 beautiful art deco hotels on our stay there, Nassau Suite Hotel, Leslie Hotel and Shepley Hotel all very close to each other and with their strategic location on Ocean drive and Collins avenue we were literally only a few steps away from the beach, and from all of the venues for the events and runway shows.

So ONE HUGE thank you goes off to them to making this all possible! sneak pictures of the rooms and terrace with pool above or at their links here:

We arrived in Miami a couple of days earlier to get back on track with the jet lag and to shoot some amazing pictures of our looks in collaboration with Zalando (you can find all of the looks on #ZalandoinMiami ) before of all of the madness of Swim Week- it was soooo busy but honestly so much fun and I already cannot wait for next year!
On the EVE day of Swim Week we had the opening of Swim Miami and Versakini x Amanda Perna runway show.
Then the first day was already so busy! We stopped by out friends at BOLLARE who had an amazing penthouse at the 1 Hotel in South Beach. It was the dreamiest place with a view on the ocean and delicious food, as well as a style bar (where I got insane fishtail braids) and were we did a little “shopping” from their brands taking home our favorite styles.
After stopping by the Glamour rooms at the EDITION hotel to get our eyebrows done, we went straight to the TASH & DEV event x FRANK BODY - you can tell in the video how fun it was with the models trying the products and taking selfies with the girls- who are by the way sort of my main daily inspiration. FOR REAL. so that was really something I was looking forward to!
the night continued with the runway shows at W South Beach Hotel: Hot-As-Hell, Kaohs and Frankie’s Bikinis (which was so insane under the creative direction of dream girl Kimberly who used to work for Wildfox!)
On my second day I was doing the Dolce Vita Snapchat takeover ( I hope you guys all followeeeed along!) and therefore we visited the CABANA SHOW at collins Park where the Dolce Vita team was showing their VERY new swim line collection launching next year- IT WAS SO EXCITING to be part of this- thanks to my girl Leah for letting me do this.
I loved meeting all of the other brands representative as well, and thanks to PANTENE for the cute braids (the ones of the BABY GIRL yellow look! )
We then had the Tori Praver, Luli Fama, Indah Clothing and Issa de Mar SHOWS!
I can assure you every night we would go back home and sleep cause we were so tired an honestly MIAMI was 36dgrees with a 70% humidity so really any step you would take outside made you feel like you couldn't breath!
On the last day of shows we went to brunch at The Edition with our loves from IRON n SALT (did you watch the adorable video they made?!) and went to the GLAMOUR rooms to get our hair done for the day with…more braids!

we then ran to THE WEBSTER x STELLA MCCARTNEY super cuteevent and continued with For Love and Lemons, Myra Swim,Mint swim and Baes and bikinis shows.

the very last day of swim week was all about Hammock and more Cabana and We had the please fo getting our hair styled by the hair stylists of L’OREAL at the Hammock show (yes more braids here too!)
and for the last couple of days we finally enjoyed some shopping and beach time with the cutest pink ombrellas!

thanks again to everyone who was part of this wonderful experience, as well as my baby girl Sophia for making it so much fun!

SEE YOU SOON MIAMI! cant wait to be back already!!!
